SSL and Security

Shopify provides SSL security for all checkout pages on all
plans for customer security.

You can not use your own SSL certificate for this purpose. This
may cause a browser to report an error if you're pointing your own
domain to a Shopify store using HTTPS, and loading your store in a
frame. It is advised that you use HTTP, as your store checkout is
already secured.

You can read about some false security problems when using
frames from your own website to load your Shopify store, on the
Shopify forum - <a rel="nofollow"

suggest using CNAME for the purpose, and forwarding
shop.YourDomainName.com to your Shopify store,
without a frame. You can read about setting up CNAME on our
